May 21, 1928 - October 19, 2020
Norma Louise Terry (Holley) was born in Frederick, Colorado on May 21, 1928. She grew up living in the Denver area as the 8th of 9 children. Before marrying, a couple of her favorite jobs were at H. H. Tammons and as a nanny on a ranch near Carbondale, CO. She moved to Fairbanks, Alaska with her older sister and brother-in law where she held a job selling ice cream to Eskimos. She met William Andrew Terry while in Fairbanks and they were married on December 25, 1950. Norma and Bill had 4 children, Barbara, Joy, Paul and Kay and lived in Denver and Golden, CO until they moved to Bellvue, Co in 1966 where Norma worked as a wife, mother and homemaker for her family. Norma and Bill then moved to Fort Collins, CO and managed the El Palomino mote l for a number of years. They later owned and operated a donut shop in Windsor, CO and a laundromat in Fort Collins. Norma then worked at Colorado State University in the Corbett/Parmelee dining hall for 10 years before retiring in 1994. Norma most recently lived at the Good Samaritan Retirement Village in Fort Collins where she made many friends by always having a kind word, witty comment or off-color joke for fellow residents and staff. Norma's family always came first in her life and caring for them came naturally to her. She earned the nickname of "M ot her Teresa" by nursing and caring for her mother, her husband, two sisters, and two brothers-in-law as their health was failing. She leaves behind a legacy of 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Her love and caring will be greatly missed by these family members, along with her last living sister, numerous nieces, nephews, and her son- and daughter-in law. Norma is preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, three sisters, one grandchild and one great grandchild.
