Roxanne Nicole Lamb

Our beautiful, incredible daughter, Roxanne Nicole Lamb, 30, passed away on September 22, 2025, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Roxanne suffered with mental illness most of her life and the pain became too much for her to bear. Although her family is devastated from her loss, we take solace in the fact that she is now free from suffering and with other members of her family who were waiting to welcome her with open arms. Roxanne was born in Mesa, Arizona, on May 5, 1995. She was born to parents, Maria Tawzer Lamb and Kirk Alan Lamb, and was baby sister to older siblings Erica and Preston. Roxanne was born with endless energy and eagerly tried to keep up with her siblings in all they did. We have many memories of Roxanne jumping on the trampoline and swimming all year round, even if she had to wear a wetsuit to do it. Roxanne was a self-proclaimed “nerd.” She loved video games and video game characters, especially Sonic the Hedgehog, Shadow, Pokemon, Kirby, and Ky Kiske from Guilty Gear. Roxanne was extremely creative. She had written several novels by her 15th birthday. She enjoyed drawing, painting, and doing diamond art. She loved holidays and was especially thoughtful when giving gifts on birthdays and Christmas. Her gifts were deeply personal and are treasured even more now. Roxanne also loved to go on cruises and enjoyed several trips to different destinations throughout her life. Roxanne was tenacious, resilient, and determined. She was an advocate and an activist. She described herself as a warrior and a fighter, and anyone who knew her would agree. She saw herself as a phoenix that rose from the ashes of her past, and she continued to rise again and again even under the harshest of circumstances. Roxanne didn’t allow anything or anyone to get in her way when pursuing her goals. She experienced great joy in accomplishing the things she set out to do. Because she struggled with mental health issues and was a trauma survivor, she developed great empathy and compassion for others. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a master’s in social work. She became a therapist and made it her mission to help people struggling with mental illness as well as those in vulnerable communities. She worked with the substance abuse community, the prison population, trauma survivors, and those with eating disorders. She was passionate about supporting individuals in the neurodivergent and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. She had a great desire to make change in the mental health industry and worked towards finding more affordable and easily accessible resources for those who needed it. Roxanne loved the mountains, which led her to move to Colorado all on her own. After a couple years, her brother, Preston, joined her in Fort Collins and they enjoyed hiking with her service dogs, Ceasar and Raine, and exploring the beauty Colorado offers. She worked for several therapy practices and then finally started her own practice, which had been a dream of hers for many years. Many of her clients have written to her to thank her for helping them in their time of need. Being a therapist came naturally to Roxanne, and she excelled in it. She loved many of the people she worked with and enjoyed close professional relationships. Roxanne leaves a powerful legacy of love and compassion. She is greatly missed, and we are looking forward to being with her again one day. She is survived by her parents, Maria Tawzer Lamb and Kirk Alan Lamb (Mesa, AZ), sister and brother-in-law, Erica Lamb Santiago and Joseph Santiago III (Mesa, AZ), brother Preston Lamb (Ft. Collins, CO), and her beloved nephews and niece, Rylan, Kai, and Valentina Santiago. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of the Lamb and Tawzer families. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bryce & Jean (Ballantyne) Lamb, and Lynn and Dixie (Cummings) Tawzer, Uncle Kent Eric Lamb, and cousins, Lindsey Tawzer, and Cody Dunford. A Celebration of Life will take place in Mesa, AZ, in December 2025. Details are to be determined.
