Our History
Since 1960, the Bohlenders have provided caring, professional service to the families of Northern Colorado through our funeral home in historic Old Town, Fort Collins. Our story begins with Milo Bohlender, who earned a degree from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1960 and became a funeral director. Milo and his wife Gwen relocated to Fort Collins from LaSalle, CO so Milo could work at what was then Warren Funeral Chapel. In 1968, Milo and Gwen purchased interest in the mortuary from Harold Warren and the funeral home fully transitioned to the Bohlender family in later years.
Today, Milo’s son Gary operates the funeral home, supported by his wife Kristin, and key staff member Josh Wasinger, a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Gary and Kristin have two daughters, Scout and Stella, who have also worked in the funeral home.
