Wynette Stephenson

Wynette K. Stephenson, 70, died Sat., Aug. 4, 2007, at Medical Center of the Rockies. A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Pastor Michael Lipe will officiate. Wynette Stephenson was born Oct. 5, 1936, in Denver to Rachel Miller Vogel and Daniel Vogel. She was raised in Denver and graduated from Denver West High School in 1953. She married Gary Hugh Stephenson on June 25, 1954. Mrs. Stephenson worked in Fort Collins as a real estate escrow officer for 20 years, and previous to that as an interior decorator. Survivors include her companion, Vernon Nelms; two daughters, Kim Dan Helzer, Lynette Steven Roede;, three grandchildren, Jason Kramer, Travis and Tara Roeder, all of Fort Collins; two great grandchildren, Lacey and Skylar Kramer of Sioux Center, Iowa; and one great grandchild expected by Tara and Kurtis Tatro; three brothers, Vernon, Robert, and Richard Vogel, all of Denver; two sisters, Reta Hunter of California, and Dixie Nicklin of Denver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, her parents, and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Collins Senior Center, or an organization of your choice, in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
