Wilma B. Reeves

Wilma B. Reeves, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 30th, 2024, at the age of 97. Born on March 14th, 1927, in Eads, Colorado, Wilma lived a life marked by service, love, and dedication.

Wilma married Orval H. Reeves on November 29, 1946, he precedes her in death.

Wilma was a devoted employee of Colorado State University, where she worked as a supervisor in the food service department. Her commitment to her work and the students she served was renowned, and she mentored countless young people over the years, leaving a lasting impact on their lives.

A resilient and loving mother and grandmother, Wilma is survived by her children: James R. Reeves (Mary Jo, deceased), Donald W. Reeves (Sue), Linda K. Comings (Steve, deceased), and a sister-in-law, Linda Reeves. Her family extended far beyond her immediate children to the next generations, with 9 adoring grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Wilma was also predeceased by her loving parents and three brothers, and a son, Wesley Reeves, who she often spoke of with great fondness and gratitude for the memories they shared. Those who knew her well remember her engaging stories and her ability to find light even in challenging circumstances.

Wilma's family invites those who wish to celebrate her life and share in the memories to join them for her services, At Resthaven in the chapel 10:30 am on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Interment will follow the memorial service.
