Wilma Ball (97) passed away June 16. She was born in 1917 at The Willows in Kansas City, MO, where Clinton and Adeline Yocum of IL adopted her. Wilma graduated from high school in Bushnell, IL in 1935 and married John Ball in 1937. The family lived in IL and MN before moving to Ft. Collins in 1945.

Wilma was active in Cub Scouting, Camp Fire Girls, Mountain View Extension Club, and Toast Mistress club. She was employed at Poudre High School food services for 14 years. Her love of music led to membership in Mountain View Chorus, First Methodist Chorus, Music Club and Music Club Chorus.

She was preceded in death by Clinton Yocum (father), Georgia (infant daughter), John Sr. (husband) and son Clinton (Joe).

Surviving family are John Jr. of Ft. Collins, Karen Lake (Arvie) of Tucson, niece: Lynn Stone of TX, daughter in-law: Connie Ball of WI, granddaughters: Kirsten Lake of Tucson, Adrienne Lake of TX, Nikki Toughill (Mike) of IL, Abby Fojtik (Aaron) of VA, Rachel Tobin (Mark) of WI and Benni her canine companion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover St., at 3 PM on Monday June 29, 2015. Supper will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pathways Hospice, The Food Bank or Long Hopes Donkey Shelter ( www.longhopes.org ).
