Willie Ellis

Williard "Willie" Eugene Ellis, 66, of Fort Collins, died April 10, 2008, at Poudre Valley Hospital. Mr. Ellis was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Jefferson, Iowa, to Keith Ellis and Susan Chase Ellis. Willie married Carolyn Muir on Oct. 22, 1961, in Estherville, Iowa. They moved to Fort Collins in 1983 from Illinois. Willie retired from the city of Fort Collins Water Utilities after 23 years of service. He enjoyed motorcycling, camping and being a handyman. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Muir; a son, Anthony Ellis of Elgin, Ill.; one daughter, Kimberley Lyons, and her husband, Steven, of Algonquin, Ill.; two sisters, Martha Isaacson and Ellen Kjos; seven grandchildren, Andrew Ellis, Nicole Bell, Justin, Willie and Sara Lyons, Dakota and Alyssa Metz; many nieces and nephews; and wonderful friends. Preceding Willie in death are his mother, father and brother. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Mr. W. Donald Fike will officiate at the service.
