William A. "Bill" Youder passed away March 15, 2006, at Fort Collins Health Care Center. He was 90 years old. Bill was born on a homestead northeast of Wellington on June 3, 1915, to Charles and Amanda Youder. He graduated from the high school in Wellington and later attended Aimes College in Greeley, earning a degree in auto body. In 1951, he married Ruth Junius in Denver. The couple lived most of their life together in Fort Collins. Ruth passed away in March 2004. Bill started Youder Construction in 1953, doing earth moving, land leveling and building small dams. For a hobby he purchased and restored antique cars. He and Ruth traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe. They were members of the Antique Car Club in Fort Collins and were charter members of the Loveland VMCCA. The Youders were also members of the Railroad Club. During his life, Bill was a member of the Wellington Federated Church and attended the First Christian and Timberline Churches in Fort Collins. He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Lea Drake Chuck; three grandsons and their families; two nieces; one nephew; and special friends, Carl and Nellie Swartz. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Bohlender Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Roselawn Cemetery. Pastor David Price will officiate.
