William Allen Trippel, age 80, of Fort Collins, CO passed away on April 9, 2025 of a sudden cardiac arrest.
William was born on June 18, 1944 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. He lived in Fort Collins his entire life and grew up with his sister, Kathy. He was a farm boy who loved animals and being outdoors.
He graduated from Fort Collins High Scool in 1962. He met the love of his life, Jenny, and they married when he was 19.
He began a successful career as a drywall contractor shortly after they wed, and worked hard to grow his business into a thriving company he ran for many years, before retiring at the age of 70.
Not only was William, "Bill", a successful business owner, but more importantly, a caregiver and nurturer. After his father's passing, and his mother's stroke, he went to visit her every day for many years until her passing.
Along with his wife of over 60 years, Jenny, he raised 2 daughters, Sandy, and Theresa. He cared for his oldest daughter, Sandy, for many, years after she was diagnosed with a debilitating form of MS. After losing his son-in-law to leukemia in 2012, he stepped in and was the rock for his younger daughter, Theresa, and her 2 children, his only grandchildren, CJ and Sadie. After Bill's wife, Jenny, entered an assisted living facility, he visited her daily and was her advocate until the day he passed.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and riding motorcycles in his spare time. He attended every performance and athletic event his grandchildren had over the years.
He was the type of man others aspired to be like. To be better…..do better…..be a person of your word, help others in their time of need, with good character and integrity.
He loved his family above all, and will be missed dearly by them, and anyone who knew him. He was truly one of a kind.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Jenny, sister Kathy, daughter Theresa, grandson Chad (CJ), and granddaughter Sadie. He was preceded in death by his parents, F. John and Alice Trippel, and daughter Sandy.
