William Bill Frederick Kendall, 75, passed away on Aug. 3, 2006. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends. Bill was born Jan. 7, 1931 in Wellington, the son of Ralph and Alice Kendall. He attended school in both Waverly and LaPorte. He helped his Dad work their farm and was frequently found helping on his Uncle's ranch in Owl Canyon. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in March of 1950 where he was stationed at Francis E. Warren, Cheyenne, Wyo., As an Airman Second Class. He received his shipping order in November 1951 and was sent to Yokahama, Japan, during the Korean War where he loved working on the fighter planes. Bill returned home in 1954. He worked for 19 years for the Ideal Cement Plant and almost 20 years for the 1st National Bank in the maintenance department. Bill married Donna Jean Maier in July 1954 in Fort Collins. They had three children, Kenny, Jim and Judi. Bill is survived by his sons, Kenny Kendall and his wife, Carol Cameron of Fort Collins, and Jim and partner Stacey Westcoatt of Laporte, Texas; and daughter, Judi Vos and husband Tom Vos of LaPorte; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Lucille Owens of Loveland. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and four sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in remembrance of Bill may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover, Fort Collins. The family also requests that you share and spread your love and friendship of one another and strive to be happy in life. Memorial Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Rev. Joyce Curtis will officiate.
