William Thomas Carter of Bellvue, Colorado died April 29, 2010 at Poudre Valley Hospital. He was born April 8, 1979 to Richard and Lynda Kay Brower Carter. William spent much of his early life at University Hospital. This is also where he received his first kidney transplant at the young age of 5 years. Sadly in 2004 William needed another kidney transplant which was donated from his brother-in-law, Ron Stroup. While growing up, William's interests included the Greeley Saddle Club and 4-H activities. William was an active member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Bellvue. He attended CLP Elementary/Middle School and Poudre High School in Fort Collins. As William grew older he developed an interest in Rodeo, especially bull riding. He assisted his friends at these events whenever he could and always rooted them on. William married Amber Nichols on September 11, 2001. Soon afterward one of his dreams became a reality when he was blessed by the birth of his daughter, Cheyenne. Amber and William later divorced. He then married Deana Sterling of Ogallala, Nebraska. They later divorced and at this time William returned home to Colorado. William is survived by his father, Richard Carter of Bellvue; his sisters, ShariRon Stroup of Fort Collins, DeniseKirk Fry of Firestone, Colorado, nieces, Sarah Coleman of Fort Collins, Ashley Coleman of Loveland, Colorado; nephews, Thomas Stroup and Jacob Coleman both of Fort Collins and his daughter, Cheyenne of Kingsland, Arkansas. William was preceded in death by his mother, Lynda Carter. The viewing will be Thursday, May 6, 2010 from noon until 7pm. Services to be held Friday, May 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. Pastor Marty Trujillo will officiate.
