Listen to Obituary
William R. Brown, born in Salt Lake City, has died at age 75 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
His wife Sandra, son Christopher of Kearney, Missouri (wife Sanya and their children Morgan and Sean), and daughter Elizabeth Samuels of London, England (husband Garry Samuels), are left to mourn and to remember him with joy.

Bill had a contemplative personality, passionate convictions and a teasing wit. His loves were his family, reading, his pets, music (listening and, in his younger days, performing) and philosophical and theological thinking and discussion. He was predeceased by his parents James Brownell Brown and Elma Anne Sailer Brown and his sister Mary.

He received a Bachelor's in Mathematics at San Jose State University where he met Sandy his wife, of 53 years and completed his Master's in Mathematics at University of California, Berkeley. After 7 years in the Army the family spent 36 years in New Jersey where Bill was a Member of Technical Staff and in technical management at Bell Laboratories. He also earned a Master's in Computer Sciences at Rutgers while the family was in New Jersey. Bill and Sandra moved to Fort Collins for their "real" retirement in 2008.

A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at American Baptist Church, 600 S. Shields.
