Walter Bernard Morrissey Jr.

Walter B. Morrissey Jr. (77) of Fort Collins, CO passed away on Monday December 18th, 2017.

Walt was born in Lamar Colorado on October 5th, 1940. His family moved to Hastings NE when Walt was a small boy. Walt resided in Hastings until 1994, during which time he was an active member of the community. Walt started a screen-printing operation in 1973 in his garage on E. 5th street and eventually moved it to 1104 West J Street where the business (Image Inc.) resided for several years. In the early 80's Walt closed Image Inc and took over Hastings Advertising from his Mother Ann Morrissey and eventually changed the name to Morrissey & Associates. In 1994 Walt moved to Fort Collins, CO bringing advertising business with him. In 2000 Walt reconnected with his faith and gave his life to Christ. He became an active member of the Vineyard church in Fort Collins where he met and married Vicki in 2005.

Walt was an award-winning marketer, a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great-grandfather and a follower of Christ Jesus. He is survived by his wife Vicki, his five adult children Erin (spouse Mike), Chris (spouse Dawn) & Seth (spouse Kristina), Shelli, Brent (spouse Tyra) as well as a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Walt was a kind man who cared about everyone he encountered along his journey in life.

Walter's life is being celebrated by his friends and family at 2pm, Thursday December 28th, 2017 at The Vineyard Church of the Rockies in Fort Collins. Fort those friends and family in the Hastings, NE area, there will be a celebration of life at the Eagles Club on Saturday January 6th from 2pm to 4pm. The family welcomes all who would like to attend one of these "Copacetic & Jubilistic" celebrations.
