Virginia Mae Seaworth, 89, of Fort Collins, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Centre Avenue Rehab and Convalescent Hospital. A funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, 531 S. College Ave. The Rev. Rich McDermott will officiate. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery. Virginia was born March 19, 1916, in Fort Morgan to Ned and Zoe Jackson Hemphill. She graduated from LaPorte High School. She married Harlan Seaworth on July 19, 1937. She lived in the Fort Collins area all of her adult life, moving from the farm in Wellington in 1988. Virginia enjoyed ceramics and painting. She also enjoyed music and played the organ. She is survived by her son, Richard Seaworth, of Wellington, and his wife, Sandi; two daughters, Pat Laes and husband, Jack, of Kelso, Wash., and Dorothy Cooper and husband, Bill, of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jan Laes, Steve Seaworth, Jay Laes and Troy Seaworth; a 5-year-old great-grandchild, Jacob Harlan Laes; two stepgrandchildren, Stacy Pixley and husband, Wally, and Cory Stringer and wife, Pam; and three stepgreat-grandchildren, Cannon Pixley and Ryley and Mackenzie Stringer. Her husband, Harlan, her parents, and a sister, Dorothy Troutt, preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Poudre School District Foundation for the Wellington Music Department or the Boys & Girls Club of Wellington in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
