Ginger was born in 1952, in Wellington, CO, the daughter of Budge and Ethel. She passed away July 5, 2025.
Ginger graduated from Poudre High School, and then continued on to earn an Associate degree in Music Education and her Bachelor degree in Nursing.
Ginger married Bill Jump, sharing many years of marriage together. They spent most of their time raising their son and helping neighbors until Bill's death in 2004.
Ginger worked as a registered nurse at Poudre Valley Hospital for 25 years in labor and delivery, where her kindness and work ethic shone greatly. A memorable moment was when, after giving birth to her own son, she got behind the desk (still in her hospital gown) to support her colleagues with new patient intakes.
Ginger was captivated by beauty. She loved music, cross stitching, and iris folding cards. As she aged, she continued to find joy in the beauty of flowers and God's creatures. She filled her space with cut outs of cute dogs, cats, bunnies, and donkeys. Donkeys especially had a special place in her heart. One of Ginger's proudest moments was when her son graduated from college at CSU with his degree in computer engineering. It was a hard fought battle for the both of them.
Ginger was a member of Timnath Presbyterian Church until she was no longer able to attend.
Ginger was a compassionate soul. She made time and space for every person she interacted with to share their story. No matter what was going on, Ginger was non-judgmental, encouraging, loving, and compassionate.
Remaining to cherish Ginger's memory are her son, David, her sisters, Linda and Gayle, her nephew, Tim, and her niece, Carole.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held Monday July 14th at Highland Cemetery at 10:30 am. A light luncheon will follow at Timnath Presbyterian Church at 1:00 pm.
Memorial donations in Ginger's honor may be directed to Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue or any animal rescue of your choice.
