Violet F. Patterson

Violet Patterson passed away in Fort Collins, October 12, 2009. She was the daughter of Swedish immigrants Sone Herman Ohlson and Esther Jacobson. Born July 9, 1917 in Lamar, Colorado, Violet lived most of her life with her beloved husband Bill Patterson in Colorado Springs. She attended Colorado State University where she studied Home Economics and played for the campus basketball team. Violet is survived by her two children, Bonnie Graham and Billie Joe Patterson and his wife Alene, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great great granddaughters. Violet will be remembered by her many friends and family members as a talented craftswoman who enjoyed a full life of dancing, creating, tending her beautiful home and traveling. A celebration of her life will be hosted by the family in Colorado Springs. Contributions in her honor will be accepted by the Alzheimer's Association in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 West Olive, Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
