Our beloved father and grandfather, Vet Ervin Bailey, was taken to Heaven on September 7, 2022. Born on November 3, 1938 to Lude Lon Bailey and Gladys Alta Runkle in Naponee, NE. They moved to Eastern Colorado where he met the love of his life, Barbara Jane Bowser. He married her on June 5, 1959. His proudest moments in life were the birth of their son, Timothy Bailey, and his grandkids Richard and Lisa Bailey.
Vet was a proud business owner for 45 years of Bailey's Mobile Home Service. During this time, he was blessed to work beside his late wife and his son. Throughout his 45 years of business, he met many wonderful people that not only became close friends, but family members as well.
Those that knew him could tell that the most important things in his life were his family and his animals. Over the years he had many wonderful dogs that usually went everywhere with him. Most recently was his dog, Dozer.
He was always a happy go lucky person. He was at every softball, volleyball, and football game and barrel race that was local for his son and grandkids. You could always count on him to be a sideline coach and cheerleader. One of his favorite hobbies was playing slot machines. He went every chance that he could and was pretty much a winner every time.
He touched many hearts and will truly be missed. He is survived by his son Timothy Bailey (Carol Steinbock), grandchildren Richard Bailey, Lisa Bailey (Travis Mai), and Dustie Nebelsick (Aaron Nebelsick). His two great grandchildren Courtney and Annalise Nebelsick. Two sisters: Della Ayers and Ivy Bolinger, two Brothers in Law: Jay Bowser (Jan) and Joe Bowser (Carey) and a Sister in Law Judy Parks. Also, several nieces and nephews and close family friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Lude Lon and Gladys Alta Bailey, and the love of his life, Barbara Bailey. His brothers: Alfred, Cleo, Eldon, Ord and Jet Bailey, a sister Eva Walker and Brother in Law John Parks.
There will be a graveside service held at Resthaven Memorial on September 23 at 2pm for family and close friends.
