Vanessa Ann Ferda, 42, of Fort Collins C.O, sadly passed away on April 6, 2025, at 8:34 pm, with her family by her side at Poudre Valley Hospital, in Fort Collins, C.O.
Vanessa Ferda, was born in Great Falls, M.T, she is survived by her parents, Felicia Amanda Lopez (mother) and Andrew Tate Ferda (father). She is an enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of Rocky Boys Reservation in Montana, and the great great great granddaughter of Chief Little Bear.
She is survived by her parents Felicia, and Tate, Grandfather Raul Lopez Jr. Daughters, Mandy Rivera,& Feather (Vanecia) Gonzales, her Sons, Andy Rivera, & Weston Collins. Brothers; Montana Tate Ferda, Miles Ray Hensley, and September Sky Montoya. Sisters; Karissa Ann Hensley (nephew Wyatt), and Maddie(Madeline) Garcia, Aunties; Amy Barcenas, Priscilla Lopez, Camelia Lopez, Delilah Lopez, & Lucy Figueroa, Uncles; Rolando Figueroa, & Vale Lopez. Her beloved dog Mommas.
She is reunited with her grandmother Marlene Gardipee-Lopez, uncle Geronimo Crazy Horse Lopez, Brother Trenton Kyle Hensley, Sister Crystal Ferda, aunts; Mandy Lopez, & Francina Lynn Lopez, Great uncle Sonny Gardipe, cousin Max, Best Friend Big Rick Duran, & Pops, Son-in law Lefty Sonny Gonzales
Born in Great falls M.T , later moving to North Carolina, then to Fort Collins C.O. for a few years and then to Wyoming, and back to Fort Collins. She leaves behind 4 of her childern, who are very heart broken.

She loved her family, especially her kids. She took so much pride in every thing she did. From being nurturing mother, just to the simple things,Vanessa had such a compassionate heart that her presence changed the atmosphere all together. Vanessa was so loved by many. Felicia her mother was her best friend despite the bickering they had they loved each other beyond words. They had a connection that no one could ever break. A visitation will be held 2-7pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Legacy Church, 600 9th Street, Ft. Collins. Funeral Mass will be held 12 pm (Noon) on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 326 N. Whitcomb St. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
