Listen to Obituary
Travis P. Goodman, 32, of Fort Collins, CO, peacefully passed away May 26, 2010 outdoors. Travis was born in Mason City, IA on March 11, 1978 to Neda Amidon and Earl Goodman. Travis moved to Colorado in 1983 and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2000. Travis then moved to Madison, WI in 2001 where he began employment at Trek Bicycles, Inc. Travis became an accomplished salesman, winning the Inside Sales Rep of the Year award twice. In Madison, Travis met Christin H. Kiesner, and together they moved to North Carolina in 2006, where Travis took a promotion as a Regional Sales Manager of North Carolina for Trek. Travis and Christin married in Colorado September 18, 2008. They then fulfilled their lifelong dream of moving back to Colorado in January, 2010. Travis was an avid cyclist and loved the outdoors. He loved traveling, exploring new places, and hiking in the mountains. Travis participated in numerous mountain bike races and was very enthusiastic about getting other people outside. He regularly volunteered and participated in cycling events that promoted charitable causes. Travis was a friend that left this world too soon for our liking. His courage, grace, honor, humility, humor, and the most animated eyebrows we've ever known will be missed deeply. He will never leave our hearts and through the love that remains for him, he will live forever. Have a great ride Travis. We'll see you again someday. Survivors include his wife, Christin; mother and stepfather, Neda and Jim; father, Earl; brother, Forrest; grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and numerous friends who are like family. A private memorial for Travis with close family and friends will be held in Rocky Mountain National Park.
