Tomas Olivas of Ft. Collins died on January 4, 2014 at home. He was the youngest of 10 children born to Cesario and Teresa Olivas on March 10, 1949. In 1974 he married Nellie Suniga of Ft. Collins. She died in 1991 after 17 years of marriage. Tomas worked in food service for over 30 years including Charco Broiler, Denny's, and Poudre Valley Hospital where he retired in 2010 for health reasons. He is survived by 6 brother and sisters, including Espidion Olivas of Milliken. The other siblings reside in Mexico and Texas. He is also survived by four stepchildren, Dorothy Pacheco Joe, Michelle Chavez John both of Ft. Collins, Renee Trujillo Anthony of Denver, and Robert Peters Judy of Craig. He leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial of cremains will be held at Grandview Cemetery, immediately follow the mass. A special thanks to Wilma, Marsha, Carol, and Marina from Pathways Hospice, who helped care for him the last four days of his life.
