Thomas Edward Zimdahl died July 11, 2017 after a courageous battle with brain
cancer. During his illness Tom gave all of us a lesson in how to live fully and he and his wife Britt gave all of us a lesson in how to love. Tom was born April 29, 1970 and became a member of the Zimdahl family on August 20, 1970. He is survived by his wife, Britt; his father, Robert L. of Fort Collins; his brother, Randy L. Zimdahl of Manitou Springs, Colorado; his brother, Robert O. Zimdahl of Fort Collins; his sister, Jennifer Z. Galt of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia; and his brothers, Ryan C. McLean of Fort Collins and Matthew F. McLean of Bozeman, MT; his mother, Ann O. Zimdahl preceded him in death in 1991. Tom graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1988 and from the University of Northern Colorado in 1994.
Tom worked at the City of Fort Collins Recreation Department for 23 years. Tom helped us laugh often and taught us to love each other. Everyone Tom met during his 47 years became his friend. We will forever delight in the joy his too short life gave us. Tom was special to his family and his friends. We will remember his integrity, his kindness, his care for others, his love of life and his warm-hearted personality. We know he would request we dry our tears and live our lives to the fullest.
A Celebration of Tom's life will be held at Budweiser Biergarten at 2351 Busch Drive in Fort Collins, CO at 11:00 a.m. on August 12th, 2017. In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish may donate something in Tom's memory to
