Thomas W. Simpson, 79, of Fort Collins, passed away November 17, 2023. He was born December 26, 1943, to Floyd and Verna Simpson in Atchison, Kansas. He graduated from Atchison High School in 1961. He married Marjorie Ellerman and was blessed with three children. They later divorced.
He worked for many years at Kenworth-Dart in Kansas City, Missouri. He moved to Colorado in 1986 where he owned and operated Pro Auto Clean. Tom had a true love for old cars. He restored many over the years. He was a member of the Early Ford V8 Club of America.
He was active in the community. Often, he could be found playing billiards at the Senior Center and attending many local car shows and cruise nights.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his three children, Debra (Corey) Steine of Loveland, Lori (Tim) Podhajsky of Windsor, and Jeff Simpson of Broomfield; four grandchildren, Alyssa (Taylor) Clapp, Alec (Jaycie) Steine, Ashley Podhajsky, and Ryan Podhajsky and one great-grandson, Aiden Clapp, all of Colorado; his brother Larry (Patty) Simpson of Missouri; two sisters Judy (John) Rhodes of California and Patty (Randy) Johnston of Colorado; and two nieces and a nephew.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in the East Auditorium at Timberline Church, 2908 Timberline Road, Fort Collins, Colorado.
