Thomas Duane Roebuck, (Tommy, Tom) 59, of Gresham, Oregon, with family by his side, went to be with his heavenly Father on January 20th, 2018
Thomas was born to parents, Mary and Tom Roebuck, at F. E Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne Wyoming on March 23, 1958. He grew up in Nebraska and Colorado and served in the U.S. Army in 1978. He later earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Communication.
He is survived by his former wife, Angie and three children: Jenna, T.J and Payton of Gresham, Oregon, his mother; Mary Danforth of Fort Collins, Colorado, sister Melody (Mike) of Loveland, Colorado, a brother Rolland of Fort Collins, Colorado, sister Kyna Bollinger of Scottsbluff Nebraska and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He is is preceded in death by his father, Tom Roebuck.
Thomas was an intelligent, thoughtful and loving man with a quick wit, as well as a great story teller. He loved science, playing video games with his children and watching Sci-Fi movies. Tom was an avid fisherman, he loved fishing the Columbia River as well as fly fishing the rivers of Oregon, Wyoming and Colorado. He was an above-average bowler and bowled on the WAPA team in league play during his time in Colorado. He loved to play golf whenever he had the opportunity. He enjoyed playing his mandolin and harmonica. He was a respected pool player and played league pool in Gresham, OR.
The focus of his life was his three children.
For more than 30 years, Tom was employed by National Systems and Research (Colorado Springs, CO), a government contractor providing technical and administrative support personnel to WAPA and BPA among other federal and non-federal entities.
Tom's career changed several times as he grew in the company, he was promoted to Lead Engineering Tech and Drafting Department and eventually became the program manager for NSRI at the Rocky MountainRegional Office of Wapa, in Loveland, Co.
In 1995, NSRI promoted Tom to Program Manager of their Portland, Oregon office supporting Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Bohlender Funeral Chapel - 121 West Olive St. Fort Collins, Colorado 80524.
