Terrance (Terry) Jennison, 76, passed away on April 11, 2026, in Walden, Colorado.
Terry was born on July 15, 1949 in Beloit, Kansas. He graduated from Beloit High School in 1967 before attending Wichita State University. He later earned a degree in architecture from Kansas State University.
Over the years, he explored various trades, eventually establishing a career as an HVAC technician. One of his favorite chapters was his work with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, where he helped to map the coastline of the Midatlantic to Southeast U.S.
Having always wanted to live in the mountains, Terry ultimately settled in Colorado, where he continued to nurture his love of the outdoors, reading, and music. He could often be found woodworking or in the garden tending his prize-winning vegetables, frequently sending jars of jam or other handmade gifts to friends and family. Above all else, Terry valued his relationships with loved ones, traveling several times a year to see family and friends in Virginia, Kansas, and elsewhere.
Terry is remembered as being kind, calm, and a keen lover of learning and sharing knowledge.
He is predeceased by his mother Ann, father George, brother Tim, and nephew Jason. He is survived by sisters Denise Shapiro (Steve) and Deborah Jennison, as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and a community of lifelong friends.
Donations in Terry's memory can be made to the Jackson County Library, one of the places where he most loved to spend time. Checks or cash can be mailed to the library at 412 4th St, Walden, CO 80480, with "In memory of Terry Jennison" in the memo line.
