Sydonia Marie Baker

Sydonia Marie Baker, 67, of Fort Collins passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 9, at home. She was born August 7, 1946, in Fort Collins, Colorado, to George and Genevieve Moody. Sydonia married Derrel Baker on March 21, 1965. She spent most of her work career in the banking industry at First National Bank. After retirement, Sydonia worked for the family businesses, Kustom Structures and Mountain States Poultry. She also took care of her mother. Sydonia enjoyed her flowers and garden, camping with her family and friends, Sam and Sharon, Rich and Linda and their families, developing new friendships with the customers from Mountain States, and especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her mother, Genevieve Moedy, husband, Derrel Baker; son, Gaylen Baker; grandchildren Cole and Rachael Baker; Sisters-in-law, Celia Johnson, Leona Pointer, Debby Felte Lauren, Jenny DeGraff Don, and Nancy Cox; and an aunts, uncles, cousins, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding Sydonia in death is her father, George Moedy. A funeral service to celebrate Sydonia's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A private interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery.
