Suzanne Marie Allard Maul (Suzy danger, Suzy Q) passed away December 13th 2020 peacefully at her beloved home. She lived her life to the fullest, a true dead head and rock and roll queen. Her love for live music was reflected in her extensive collection of concert ticket stubs from concerts she had attended throughout her life. Suzanne loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time skiing, swimming, camping and fishing. She was also a lover of all animals and she enjoyed having her dogs with her everywhere she went.
Suzanne was born to Hilda and Richard Allard in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in 1952. Her family moved to Picayune Mississippi in 1965. Her school days were fun times in her life. Sue was elected senior class favorite and a cheerleader for the Picayune High Maroon Tide. After 2 years at The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg; she decided to join the youth movement west to the mountains of Colorado. In Ft Collins, Sue married Gary Maul and fully embraced the mountain lifestyle by building a log cabin home to live in the Foothills. They had a daughter, Angela in 1975, before a peaceful breakup of the marriage.
Suzanne tried a few jobs before settling into a career as a mail carrier with the US Postal Service. She worked the early years on rural routes out of Bellvue, CO and ended a 34 year career at the downtown Fort Collins post office. She was an amazing advocate for her peers as president of the Postal Union making precedence's as one of the few women to hold such a position. A second daughter was born in 1989, Tasha Brewer and a few years later she designed and built a brand new home in a most beautiful spot overlooking the city of Fort Collins to raise Tasha in. Suzanne juggled her responsibilities as a single mother with the same firecracker spirit we all came to know and love. Her ambition and accomplishments set amazing examples for her daughters and future generations.
Suzanne is survived by her Daughters Angela Garcia and Tasha Brewer (James Gonzalez). She was so proud of her grandchildren; Mariah and Jorden Gonzalez, Crystal and Ben Autler, Angel and Branden Garcia and her great grandchildren Maya and Christopher Autler. Her beloved brothers David Allard, (Deborah) TX, Bill Allard (Margret) CA, Steve Allard (Judy) PA. Her nephews in CA; Richard and Matthew Allard and Graham Allard of CO. Suzanne is preceded into death by her mother and father Hilda and Richard Allard and her brother Michael T. Allard.
Don't weep at my grave,
For I am not there,
I've a date with a
Butterfly to dance in the air.
I'll be singing in the sunshine, wild and free
Playing tag with the wind
While I am waiting thee
