Susan Whittington

Susan "Sue" B. Whittington beloved mother, grandmother and friend entered heaven Oct. 31, 2007. A celebration of her life will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel at 2 p.m., Wednesday. Susan was born Nov. 10, 1952, in Spokane, Wash. to Ed and Doris McLane Schomaker. She graduated from Wasson High School, Colorado Springs, in 1970. She earned degrees from Mesa State Junior College in Grand Junction and Front Range Community College in Fort Collins. Sue married Bruce Whittington on Feb. 16, 1980, at their home in Glacier View Meadows. Susan's greatest joy in life was being a mother to her sons, Ian and Caide; and a grandmother to Cazin and Booker. As a young mother, Sue spent many enjoyable hours with her quilting group, where she developed lifelong friendships. She loved her mountain community, her friends and reading. Survivors include her husband, Bruce, of Glacier View; son, Ian, his wife Jenny, their son Booker of Windsor; son, Caide, and his son, Cazin of Fort Collins. She is also survived by her brother, Steve Schomaker of Richland, Wash.; sisters, Sandra LeBrun of Taos, N.M., and Shelly Schomaker of Fort Collins; and many other relatives and friends.
