Steven Christian Holmes "Chris", 66 of Fort Collins passed away peacefully on January 10th, 2024. Chris was born to Berndt Holmes and the late Frances Schoenthaler Holmes on July 9th, 1957 in Grand Junction, Colorado.
He attended schools in the Grand Junction area before moving to Fort Collins in 1984, where he worked as a Mason around the Northern Colorado area for 30 years. Chris enjoyed fishing, reading western novels, collecting antiques and cheering on the Denver Broncos. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gina DiMatteo Holmes, Daughter Lindsey Lopez (Jared) Son, Tory Holmes (Emma), 2 Grandsons, Rider and Cache, Father, Berndt Holmes, Brothers James Holmes (Carol), Charles Holmes, and Kurtis Holmes, as well as two nieces Ashley and Victoria and a nephew Brandon.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel 121 West Olive Street, Fort Collins, CO 80524
