Stanley "Stan" Clark Barrett, 87, of Fort Collins, died December 1, 2009 at home. Mr. Barrett was born August 18, 1922 in Lincoln, Nebraska to George and Rose Barrett. Stan graduated from Fort Collins High School in 1942 and attended CSU for two years. He was in the Navy for two years during WWII. Mr. Barrett was a ranch foreman in Colorado, California and Wyoming; and spent 30 years with Sterling Sand and Gravel in Laramie, Wyoming. Stan enjoyed ranching, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and travel but his true love was spending time with family. He also loved to sing and dance, especially songs from the 40's He is survived by Shirley Melvin; brother, Don Joann; daughter, Vicki Tatsy Matsushita; son, Jay Shawn Williams; grandsons, Nathan Amanda Cameron and Jerah Jenifer Cameron; granddaughters, Lynnea Graves and Cody Smith; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Rose Barrett A Memorial Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service with Military Honors by Associated Veterans of Loveland will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Gwen Kovac will officiate the service. In lieu in flowers Memorial Contributions can be made to Pathways Hospice or Terry Lake Assisted Living in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive.
