Stacey Michael Procopio, aged 46, died peacefully on January 19, 2017, at home in Johnstown Colorado, shortly after losing her husband, Anthony Joseph Procopio. Stacey was born October 6, 1970, in Houston, Texas; the daughter of Chester Harmon and Betty Murdock.
Stacey thoroughly enjoyed helping others and creating memories with her large family. She was always center stage as she took on every possible task to better the lives of her friends and family. Stacey hosted several wedding parties and was famous for her tea parties where she would gather friends and family in loud nights filled with snacks and board games. She focused throughout her life on this singular goal, helping others, and through this created a family of 5 boys and 1 daughter through 26 years of motherhood. Stacey's greatest accomplishment was that of a stay at home mom where she served tirelessly to make her children happy and ensure their success.
In 1998, Stacey married the love of her life, Anthony Joseph Procopio, and through his subsequent promotions at Holcim, Inc. could live across the United States, from Colorado to South Carolina and back. It is key to note that family was always the principle concern of both Stacey and Anthony and spent the clear majority of their time doting upon their children.
In addition to raising their 6 children she also taught preschool for family friends and actively volunteered in the local elementary schools. She served many roles within the LDS church and lastly as Relief Society Secretary Assistant where she greatly enjoyed helping the woman of the church.
Stacey is survived by her brother, David Harmon and sons; Wesley Lumpkin of Johnstown, CO, Chris Procopio of Provo, UT, Johnathon Procopio of Johnstown, CO, Anthony (Dougie) Procopio of Johnstown, CO, and Carson Procopio of Johnstown, CO; and a number of other relatives and close friends. Stacey has returned to be with her husband, Anthony Joseph Procopio, and daughter, Cecilia Mary Procopio.
