Shirley passed away peacefully at the age of 90, surrounded by her family. She was born in Fort Collins to William Spight and Emma Spight (Fitzjarrel). Shirley was the only daughter in a large family of six brothers (now deceased).
Shirley’s life was deeply rooted in her commitment to her family as well as her Colorado heritage and love for the outdoors, where she formed cherished memories and lifelong connections with friends and family.
Shirley was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Stanely Glenn and her son Thomas as well as her beloved nephews Joshua and Justin Brien.
Shirley is survived by her daughters Marcia Griffith and Susan Ball (Bill), who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren, six great- grandchildren, one great-great- grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
After retiring, Shirley embraced her love for adventure by traveling with friends and family in their fifth wheel and enjoying time at their family cabin. These times brought joy and created treasured moments and memories that reflected her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.
Shirley’s warmth, presence and dedication to family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind as they celebrate a life well-lived.
