Listen to Obituary
Shirleen Jean Milon was born on December 29, 1938, in Grand Island Nebraska, to Eva and Charles Tillman.
Shirleen was the oldest of four children. She was a very bright, independent child and eagerly started her first job at the age of twelve, working all the way through high school. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1956 at the age of 17. She married Donald Vanosdall in 1957. Shirleen and Donald welcomed their son Michael John Vanosdall on February 24, 1958. Unfortunately, Donald passed away on May 2, 1958, less than 3 months after the birth of their son.
At 19 years old, Shirleen and her infant son moved to Loveland Colorado, joining her Grandparents, Mother, Brothers and Sister.
In 1963 Shirleen married Arthur Allen Milon and on November 30, 1967, Mark Allen Milon was born, much to the delight of big brother Mike!
Shirleen loved potato chips & chocolate, movies, traveling, bowling, walking, playing cards with family and most of all, she loved her bible study group.
Shirleen was the church secretary and bookkeeper at Good Shepherd Church in Loveland from 1980 to 2018, 38 years of faithful service, retiring at age 80. She also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and enjoyed her Red Hat Ladies Group!
Shirleen moved from her Loveland home to Residence of Oakridge in June of 2023 due to a failing heart and a diagnosis of diabetes.
Shirleen was a very kind, generous, soft-spoken sister and always gave her very best at everything she did. She loved her family, friends and especially her son's. Shirleen suffered the loss of her youngest son Mark in November of 2023.
Shirleen Jean Milon, age 85, was called to Heaven in the early morning hours of Monday, March 18, 2024. We can take peace in the knowledge that Shirleen is now with our Lord and Savior.
