Sheri Rice Stalnaker

Sheri Rice Stalnaker, age 51 died peacefully in her home on October 14, 2015. She was born January 29, 1964 in Wichita, Kansas to Larry and Karla Rice. Soon after Sheri's birth her family moved to the Fort Collins area where Sheri touched numerous lives throughout her career as a teacher in the Poudre School District. Sheri attended Poudre High School and continued her education at Fort Lewis College earning her bachelor's degree in Communications. Sheri's desire to touch young people's lives led her to the University of Northern Colorado where she earned a master's degree in Education. Sheri loved spending time with her two boys, reading, and time on Horsetooth Reservoir. Sheri was always committed to helping and caring for anyone and everyone that came into her life. Sheri is survived by her husband of 28 years Greg, her son Chase, 25, Brady, 21 and her parents. She is also survived by her brother Rodney (Jamie) and two nephews, Adam, 21 and Conrad, 18.

A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1005 Stover.
