Listen to Obituary
Sheila L. Eads-Warner of Wellington passed away August 1, 2013 in the hospital in Lafayette, Colorado. Sheila was born on June 21, 1943 in Burwell Nebraska. She lived there for a short while then moved to Bakersfield, California with her parents, Bill and Ila Campbell. She attended school in Bakersfield, later attending college there to become a nurse. After college Sheila moved to Colorado where she would spend the rest of her life. She later got married and had two of her three children, Curtis and Chris. They lived in Aurora, Colorado where she worked at the Presbyterian Hospital as an ER nurse. She later had a third child, Sandy. Sheila moved her family to Brighton where she continued her career as a nurse also practicing as an OB nurse. After several years, Sheila decided it was time to settle and she bought a house in Broomfield, Colorado where her and her family would call home. Sheila had several hobbies but one she had the biggest passion for was her dogs. She was a professional dog groomer for many years. She bred Yorkies but later decided English Bulldogs were her calling. She bred English Bulldogs for 25 plus years. She put her first AKC bulldog in the show ring and decided she was going to pursue showing them. Sheila, her daughter, Sandy, and her granddaughter, Kelsie traveled almost every weekend to a show somewhere. This was her favorite thing to do, get all of the girls together, load up the dogs and go. It was like a mini vacation for her. She would have done it every weekend. She finished several dogs and had a great reputation in the bulldog world. She was a member of the Bulldog Club of Denver and supported their annual show for several years. Sheila also shared a passion for breeding and showing quarter horses. She and her children showed horses for several years. When Curt and Chris got old enough they moved on with other hobbies but Sheila and Sandy continued on and made several great memories together. They were very successful with their horses and were very proud of their accomplishments. Sheila made a name for herself and her breeding program. She loved everyone but most of all her family. She loved taking them fishing and just being together. Her family meant the world to her and she would do whatever it took to make sure they were happy. Sheila was a very caring person and would bend over backwards for family or friends. She just wanted everyone happy. Sheila is survived in death by her son, Curtis Rains and his wife, Shawna; son, Chris Rains; daughter, Sandy Arnett and her husband, Chad; her three grandchildren, Taylen Arnett, Tyler Arnett, Kelsie Martindale and her husband, Willie, her great grandchild, Karson Martindale six weeks old.; and her brother, Dave Campbell.
