Shawntae Nicole Taylor, 15, of Fort Collins, died May 25, 2005, in Berthoud from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resurrection Fellowship, 6502 E. Crossroads Blvd., Loveland. Pastor John Stocker will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to Shawntae N. Taylor Memorial Fund in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO 80524. Shawntae was born Oct. 12, 1989, in Fort Collins to Kyle Robert Taylor and Rikki Jacoby Taylor. Her family moved to Illinois when she was 1 year old. While growing up in Illinois she attended Central Junior High School in East Peoria, Ill. Her family moved back to Fort Collins a year ago, and Shawntae attended Webber Junior High School, where she had just completed the ninth grade. Shawntae will be remembered as being an energetic, determined perfectionist, who was full of life and made everyone laugh. She had beautiful smiles every day. Shawntae enjoyed making friends and was loved by everyone she met. She was a straight-A student and a varsity member of the Rocky Mountain Dance Team. She loved dolphins, daisies and poetry. Shawntae is survived by her parents, Kyle R. Taylor of Morton, Illinois, Rikki Taylor and stepfather Chris Wicker of Fort Collins; her brother, whom she loved and was very close to, Joshua Taylor, of Fort Collins; grandparents, Joyce Connell, of Fort Collins, Tracy Jacoby, of Fort Collins, Gary Burkhart, of Fort Collins, Renee and Benjamin Sauer, of Loveland, Jerry and Sue Taylor, of Groveland, Ill.; great-grandparents, Norman and Lena Davis, of Loveland, Millie Jacoby, of Windsor, Margaret Taylor, of Chapin, Ill.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
