Listen to Obituary
Sharon LePera, 86, of Fort Collins, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on November 18, 2018. Sharon (Larson) LePera was born April 29, 1933 in Boone, Iowa. Sharon married Al "Pic" LePera in 1953 and moved to West Des Moines, Iowa, where she and Al raised their only daughter. Sharon ("Germers", as nicknamed by her grandkids) has lived in Fort Collins for the last 13 years.

Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a friend and inspiration to many, with her shoulder always available for others to lean on. Sharon enjoyed cooking, sewing and volunteering, and especially loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her spunk, quick wit, and big heart.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Pam (Phil) Miller, of Fort Collins, her three grandchildren, Zach (Katie) Miller, Colby (Ashley) Miller, and Rylan (Ali) Miller, and two great-grandchildren, Meredith and Luca Miller. Sharon is also survived by her sisters, Joann Boyd, Rovena Dittmer, and Janet Schell, along with numerous nieces and nephews that were very dear to her. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Al LePera.

A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 2000 Stover, in Ft. Collins on Monday, November 26 at 2:00 pm. Burial of cremains will follow the service at the church. Fr. Rex Chambers will officiate the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Pathways Hospice of Northern Colorado, or St. Luke's Episcopal Church in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive St., Fort Collins, CO. 80524. Friends may send condolences to the family at bohlenderfuneralchapel.com.
