Sarah Jean (Allbrandt) DeFilippis died suddenly on August 8, 2017 at the age of 29. Born at Poudre Valley Hospital on September 10, 1987, she was a dream come true for her parents Rick and Rhonda Allbrandt. She came home the following day alongside her brother, Justin to the family home in Bellvue. Nonstop memories flood our minds and deep love for Sarah lives on in our hearts. She brought us each great joy and happiness. Sarah and Jonathan "Jon" DeFilippis began dating in 2014 and on June 21, 2015 they were married in Silverthorne, CO. The wedding ceremony spoke volumes about their love for each other, with each word and every action carefully chosen by them to reflect how deeply they cared for each other. The couple later moved to their new home in Fort Collins where Sarah thrived in their new surroundings and as his beloved wife. Evident by several stories shared, Sarah easily recognized pain and actively helped friends through some difficult and dark times. She was a natural at providing emotional support and offering direction in seeking help to others. Her own struggle ultimately ended her life.

Sarah was witty, bright and creatively talented throughout her life. She was a voracious reader and life-long learner. During her childhood years she excelled at anything she put effort into, both cognitive and physical. Her artistic talents were obvious at an early age and she expressed herself through drawing and creating her artworks in multiple mediums. Along her life journey her artistic abilities continued to bloom. She spent countless hours creating incredible drawings, crafts, jewelry, needlework, while also practicing various dance disciplines with strength and grace. Sarah's tight circle of "sisters" and many other close friends formed strong bonds with her that will remain for eternity. Fun times and shenanigans played a role in her repertoire. Brutally honest, at times when least expected was one of her strong-willed traits. That beautiful smile and infectious laugh pulled us in. With her wide open-minded love, Sarah had a way of making us all feel important and valued. Seldom if ever one to judge, she led by example in that arena.

Sarah worked at UCHealth - Poudre Valley Hospital. She was a dedicated employee, formed many friendships and earned mutual respect of friends and co-workers throughout her workplace.

Sarah's family, her husband and friends are grateful and fortunate to have been blessed with her in our lives. She was a remarkable woman and to quote one of her sisters by choice "easy to love and a true gift".

Forever in our hearts, in our minds and intertwined through the threads of our beings, we will always remember Sarah. Nature is her "church" and she now calls The Summerland home.

Sarah attended aerial silks classes with the Live Beyond Limit community. She gained strength here both emotionally and physically. In reaching out they performed a beautiful, nurturing and heartfelt tribute to Sarah. Her brother Justin Allbrandt provided the vision for "Sarah's Dream", where all funds received will provide aid to others in times of financial hardship to continue their Live Beyond Limit dreams.
