Santiaga "Josie" Cordova was born on July 25, 1923, to Mollesio Asevedo and Isabel Garcia in Rocky Ford, she then moved to Fort Collins, Colorado at the age of 16. She was called by the lord on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008. Survivors include seven children, Barbara Knipple Ron Sr., Patrick Cordova Sr. Sue, Margaret Delarosa John, Ernestine Gonzales Fred, Pita Ariaz and special friend Manuel, Davey Ray Asevedo Carrie, Jessie Joe Godinez Louise, all of Fort Collins; 25 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews and two sister-in-laws, Maggie Pena and Inez Duran. Preceding her in death is one daughter, Linda Cordova-Darnell, two brothers and three sisters. A special thanks for the wonderful care of our mother to the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of the Rockies, the Fort Collins Dialysis Center and the 5th floor medical staff at PVH. Contributions may be made in memory of Santiaga "Josie" Cordova to the Fort Collins Dialysis Center and Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of the Rockies. Highlights in her life were spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching the Broncos and Wheel of Fortune. Before becoming ill she loved playing bingo. She will also miss her roommate Clara at the nursing facility. Visitation will be at Warren-Bohlender Funeral Chapel at 121 W. Olive St, Thursday, Sept. 25th from 12 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 26th at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Grand View Cemetery. MOM, WE WILL MISS YOU DEARLY AND WILL THINK OF YOU DAILY, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS. WE LOVE YOU.
