Sandra Sue Sanchez, 66, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, formerly of Fort Collins and Greeley passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center after a brief and courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Sandy was born on October 1, 1943 in Lancaster, California to Goldie Duggins Cunningham and Loy Duggins both deceased. She is survived by her three children, Christina Marquess and husband, Brian of Fort Collins; son, Louis Sanchez, Jr. and wife Heather of Fort Collins; son, Rick Lanning and wife, Michelle of Kingston, Washington; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She spent the last six years with her significant, Felix Gallegos of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Sandy enjoyed the outdoors; planting flowers, fishing, and snow shoeing. She also enjoyed cooking and spending time with all of her family and friends. She retired from WaterPik in 2007 after 23 years and moved to Cheyenne to be with Felix. Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery Fort Collins, Colorado. Immediately following the Graveside Service a potluck reception will be held at the VFW, 603 Lesser St.
