Ruthann Fadness

Ruthann Fadness, 58, of Fort Collins, died February 9, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. Mrs. Fadness was born June 27, 1952 in Decorah, Iowa to Vernon and Mildred Vick. Ruth married Edward Fadness on August 24, 1968 in Decorah, Iowa. She worked for 28 years at Hewlett Packard as an IPO Supervisor. Ruth enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She was well known for hosting family birthday parties, Norwegian Independence Day parades, and most notably Minnesota Viking watch parties. She enjoyed camping and holiday baking with her grandchildren Survivors include her husband, Edward; son, Eric Fadness Valerie; daughter, Hollie Mason Joe; sister, Bobbi Matthews; brothers in law, Ron Hovey, Jim Harkness; brothers, Rod Vick Donna, Don Vick Ila Greg Vick Kathy; four grandchildren, Lexi Mason, Alex Garcia, Kevin and Toni Mason. Preceding Ruth in death are her parents; sisters, Joan Hovey and Janet Harkness; niece, Adrian and nephew, Alan. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E Stuart St. on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. A Reception at the VFW Club of Fort Collins, 603 Lesser Dr. will immediately follow the service. A Memorial Service will also take place on February 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 701 Iowa Ave., Decorah, Iowa.
