Ruth Ann Montgomery

Ruth Ann Montgomery, 66, of Loveland, died on April 4, 2013 at Poudre Valley Hospital after a courageous battle against stage 4 lung cancer. Ruth was born March 6, 1947 in Kellyville, Oklahoma to David Golden Moore and Lois Anderson. Ruth moved to Loveland in 1976 from Arkansas. She was raised and graduated from high school in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Ruth mothered everyone around her. Ruth worked in management for Whitaker Oil for 31 years. She also loved gardening especially growing her roses. Survivors include her son, Todd Suzanne Montgomery from Panama City, Florida; daughter, Connie John Hanrahan from Fort Collins; sisters, JoElla Jack Thompson and Darlene Jim Degraffenreid and brother-in-law, Richard all of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren, Dylan, Devon, Chandler, Mykah, Kristen, and Connor Montgomery and Michael and Mikayla Hanrahan and her faithful companion, Skittles. The family would also like to especially thank her second family: Jason and Christy Whitaker and their children for their love and support. They would also like to thank the amazing staff at the PVH Cancer Center for their care, hugs and endless time. Preceding Ruth in death are her mother and father and her sister, Dolly Eberly. A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of John and Connie Hanrahan, 2715 Sage Creek Rd. on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Spring Creek Gardens in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
