Russell Earl Danner Jr. "Gus", 58, of Fort Collins, passed away April 17, 2021. He was born in Marquette, Michigan on October 3, 1962 to Josephine and Russell Earl Danner Sr. Gus was raised in the suburbs of Chicago and attended Wheaton Central High School where he earned All Conference honors in football. He later graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Computer Science.

He married the love of his life Kathy Danner on January 28, 1989. He is survived by his daughter Nikee Swango (Paul) and his 3 amazing grandchildren (Aaliyah, Cheyenne, Bennett). He is also survived by his sister Cathy Foust (Larry), as well as his four brothers Daniel (Betty), Benjamin (Debi), David (Theresa) and Timothy (Deanna). He is also survived by his father Russell Earl Danner Sr. (Gloria). The family also includes numerous nieces and nephews that he counseled and provided guidance on request.

Gus was a Vice president of Information Technology for Five Rivers Cattle Feeding where his career spanned 30 years. His career included positions ranging from Analyst and Programmer, to Staff Specialist, to Manager and Director of Information Technology

Gus will be remembered for his legendary sense of humor and his never ending love for his family. His personal interests included an insatiable love for fishing and golf.
