Ruby M. Vannorsdel

Ruby M. Vannorsdel, 89, of Masonville, CO died on August 11, 2016 at her home. Ruby was born February 5, 1927 in Loveland, Colorado to Ollie E. Rhodes and Hester E. Shepherd Rhodes. She lived in Larimer County all her life and graduated from Cache la Poudre High School.

Ruby married Roy E. Vannorsdel in Ft. Collins on May 23, 1945. Ruby was a homemaker and worked along side Roy on the farm north of Ft. Collins for 20 years before moving to town. She worked for the Poudre School District at Lincoln Junior High. They moved to the family farm in Masonville. Ruby worked as a clerk at the U.S. Post Office in Masonville until retirement. She loved spending time with animals and children.

Survivors include her children, Butch Vannorsdel of Masonville and Joanne Agens of Ft. Collins, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding Ruby in death are her parents, a brother and sister, and her husband, Roy.

Viewing will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11 a.m., at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Front Range Hospice or a charity of your choice in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
