Rubie Evangeline Houghtlen

Rubie Evangeline Houghtlen, 76, of Fort Collins, Colorado died September 28, 2012 at a local nursing home. Mrs. Houghtlen was born July 16, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio to Charles LeRoy and Leota Renner Stiles. Rubie married Robert Melvin Houghtlen, Sr. on October 29, 1955 in Toledo, Ohio. Robert preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Houghtlen moved to Fort Collins from Toledo, Ohio in 1993. Rubie enjoyed drawing, painting, flowers and being with family and friends. Survivors include her son, Robert M. Susan Houghtlen, Jr. of Windsor; daughters, Evelyn P. Rick Lenix of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Barbara J. Christen of Fort Collins, Colorado; brother, William Lesley Stiles; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Preceding Rubie in death are her parents; husband, Robert; and brother, Charles LeRoy Stiles, Jr. A Funeral Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. A Private Interment will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado. Those who desire may view Mrs. Houghtlen on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bohlender Funeral Chapel.
