Ruben A. Mai, 87, of Fort Collins, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Ruben was born January 1, 1922 in WaKeeney, KS to Fred and Marie "Blehm" Mai. He served in the Army Air Corp in WWII in New Guinea. Ruben married Hannah Becker on June 7, 1945 in Fort Collins. Ruben worked at Feeders Supply Company for 17 years and then at Woodward Governor in the Tool Crib for the next 17 years before his retirement. He lived in Ft. Collins for the past 64 years. He was a past member of Toastmasters. Ruben played Fast Pitch Softball and was part of the State Champion Team in Ft. Collins in 1948. He also played Old-Timers Softball until he was 80 years old. Ruben also enjoyed ping pong, golf, and bowling. Ruben was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 55 years. Survivors include his wife, Hannah Mai of Ft. Collins; two sons, Larry Mai and his wife Renae of Omaha, NE, Donald Mai and his wife Resa of Loveland, CO; a daughter, Kathy Koeller and her husband Robert Koeller of Ft Collins; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica Mai, and Zachariah, Emilee, and Adam Mai; seven brothers, three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding Ruben in death are a brother and sister. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. A Graveside Service with Military Honors by the Ft. Collins All Veterans Honor Guard will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm at Roselawn Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow on Monday at 2:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Stuart. Rev.
