Rose Schwindt, 87, of Fort Collins, died April 22, 2010 at Life Care Center, Cheyenne, Wyoming. Mrs. Schwindt was born December 6, 1922 in Windsor, Colorado to William and Mary Krouse Gomer. Rose married Conrad "Coonie" Schwindt on February 5, 1939 in Fort Collins. Coonie passed away March 7, 1999. Mrs. Schwindt lived in the Windsor, Fort Collins area all her life. She was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. She also laundered all the sports apparel for Poudre R-1 School District. Rose loved to garden, garage sale, and refurbish furniture. Survivors include her sons, Bill Schwindt of Fort Collins and Jim Schwindt of Nebraska and Kansas; sister, Violet Reid of California; four granddaughters, and two grandsons; and twelve great-grandchildren. Preceding Rose in death are her parents, her husband, four brothers, and four sisters. Viewing will be at Bohlender Funeral Chapel on Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Bohlender Funeral Chapel, on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery.
