Rose Marie Hopkins

Rose (Rosie) was born January 26, 1932 to John George and Ruby Ellen Ward Rostek in Fort Collins, Colorado. Rose was the third child of John and Ruby. She attended Fort Collins schools where she was an accomplished student. She was
active in High School activities and was honored to be Fort Collins High School Prom Queen her Senior Year.
Rosie married her High School sweetheart, Virgil (Fitz) Fitzgerald in 1953. She worked at Safeway, found time to attend Colorado State University and
was affiliated with Gamma Phi Sorority. Rosie and Fitz divorced and she then married Fred Ashley Jr.. Their son Fred H. Ashley III (Trey) was born on May 29, 1964. Trey was very special to Rose . She spent every moment devoted to his well being. Trey introduced her to the St. Andrews Society and Catholicism. Trey passed away on June 29, 2000.
Fred and Rosie divorced and she moved on, as she always did.
Rosie then married Paul Hopkins, an Engineer at the Colorado School of Mines.
Paul introduced her to travel. She traveled with him extensively until he passed away.
Rosie was always able to do anything she set her mind to. She tended her yard and gardens. Did the repairs and painting around her house. She was a strong lady. With a heart of gold. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Rosie is survived by her Sister Lulu Taylor Day and Michael Baughman who was always there for Rosie and she loved like a son.
