Rose Mary Chavez, 73, of Johnstown, died May 11, 2007 in the Hospice Unit at McKee Medical Center, Loveland. Mrs. Chavez was born March 24, 1934 in Denver to Ezekiel Sandoval and Augustina Roybal Sandoval. She lived in Fort Collins since 16 years of age and lived the past year in Johnstown. Rose married Roy Chavez in Fort Collins. She was a homemaker and a member at Holy Family Catholic Church. She loved bingo, Cindy, and boys, Robert, Carlos and Isaiah. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her three sons, Tony Guerrero of Denver, Paul Guerrero of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Jesse Guerrero of Wellington; four daughters, Liz Chavez of Denver, Connie Valdemar Cardenas of Johnstown, Elaine Guerrero of Wellington, and Cynthia Matt Chavez of North Dakota; a niece, Alice Mares of Fort Collin; 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church.
