Rose Blandford

Rose Mary Blandford, 97, of Fort Collins, died April 15, 2007, at Fort Collins Good Samaritan Retirement village. Mrs. Blandford was born May 14, 1909 in Vincennes, Ind., to Charles Dattilo and Ignazia Bova Dattilo. Rose married Joseph E. Blandford, Sr. on June 26, 1934, in Hopkinsville, Ky. She moved to Fort Collins in 2000 from California. Rose loved to gamble, cook, and most of all loved her grandchildren Mrs. Blandford is survived by her three sons, Bob Blandford of Livermore, Joseph E. Blandford, Jr. of Santa Clara, Calif., and Patrick Blandford of Renton, Wash.; a brother, Francis Dattilo of Summerville, S.C.; two sisters, Antoinette Alesse of Campbell, Calif., and Josephine Brassill of Bend, Ore., six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband and 11 brothers and sisters. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday at Good Samaritan Chapel, 508 W. Trilby Road. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, Santa Clara, Calif. Memorial contributions can be made to Good Samaritan Retirement Village in care of Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W.
