Ronald "Ronn" Eugene Warren died March 7, 2009. Ronn was born on December 19, 1943 to Lewis Eugene and Lydia Reifschneider Warren in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He attended school in Scottsbluff and graduated from Western Neb r a s k a Coll e g e . He was a gifted athlete that participated in mult i p l e sports gaining his Varsity letter while only a freshman in high school. While pursuing a career as a ski instructor in Vail, Colorado in 1965, he was called to active duty by the Air National Guard. After his military service he lived in Steamboat Springs. Ronn loved the outdoors and the mountain lifestyle. He met his wife Annett and her father Jim while in Steamboat Springs. He and Jim owned a masonry business together. Annett passed away 10 years later after a long battle with cancer. Ronn spent a period of time back in Scottsbluff during the 70's where he was an active member of the Elks Club. He returned to the foothills West of Loveland in 1980 continuing his masonry career. He followed in his father's footsteps to finish out his career at the United States Postal Service in Fort Collins. He met his wife Carole Wilmarth during this time. They enjoyed their time together traveling and spending time at the cabin in Glacier View Meadows, the condo at Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, and the ranch in Wyoming. Ronn will be remembered as a friendly guy with a big heart. He is survived by his wife, Carole Wilmarth; brother, Roger Warren and wife Susan; and niece Lindsay Warren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Lydia Warren. Cremation will take place and a celebration of his life with family and friends will happen later.
